But 2010 was actually a pretty innovative year for the TV ad industry: commercials made superstars out of nobodies, revived careers, and introduced the world to the concept of edible cat litter. Here are thirteen of the most talked-about ads of 2010. 



Cars Most Likely To Get A Ticket

To determine the cars most likely to get a ticket, we used data from Quality Planning, a Verisk Analytics company that validates policyholder information for auto insurers. Their analysts looked at traffic violation data from February 2009 through February 2010, counting the number of violations racked up by different car models. To account for the difference in number of cars on the road, they averaged the violation count per 100,000 miles driven. Vehicles that have been discontinued for more than 10 years were not included in the analysis.

 These little-known stars are poised to become household names next year.
